Brenda Porter says..."It was with some reluctance that I decided to start Pilates at The Spa, as I have never been one who likes group exercise classes. But it was an excellent decision!

As a result of my Pilates adventure to date, I feel that my posture has improved and that flexibility in my spine, hips and shoulders has increased, as has a sense of abdominal strength and muscular control in my "core".

Along with these strictly physical benefits goes the sheer joy of moving slowly, with thought and careful attention. Often my days seem to race out of control from one task, chore or event to another - frequently in the morning I have a list of twenty things that need to get done that day. It is a deep pleasure to go to Pilates class, slow down and enjoy a sense of control that ends up going beyond my hour on the mat."
